FRONTEO Taiwan, Inc. (“us, “we,” or “Company”) value your personal privacy highly and dedicate to protect your personal information; we hereby provide this FRONTEO Taiwan, Inc. Privacy Policy (“Policy”) to explain to you our policies and guidelines concerning how the Company collects, processes, and uses your personal information. Where it is required by the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of China and relevant laws and regulations that a separate notice shall be given, the Company shall give you a separate notice whenever we intend to collect your personal information.

Please read the Policy in detail before using the official website (“Website”) of the Company, and pay attention to any amendment or modification published by the Website; the Company has the right to amend or modify the content of the Policy at any time. By using the Website or by continuing to use the Website after any amendment or modification to our Policy, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the Policy and any subsequent amendment or modification thereto, and agree that the Company collects, processes, and uses your personal information in accordance with the Policy; if you are not able to comply or do not agree with the content of the Policy, or the country or region where you reside excludes the application of all or part of the content of the Policy, please discontinue to use the Website immediately. The Company may collect, process, and use your personal information outside Taiwan via international transmission, and such transmission is protected by physical devices and safety technologies, if you do not agree with the above-mentioned means of collection, processing, and use, please discontinue to use the Website immediately. The preceding description is also applicable in the cases where the Company collects, processes, and uses your personal information for business communication, event contact, talent recruitment, and other daily operational necessities (including but are not limited to: business card exchange, contact information and payment information collected for hosting seminars, etc.).

  1. 1. Specific purposes for collection
    The Company collects your personal information when you use the Website or participate the relevant events hosted by the Company, including but are not limited to: subscription to the publications or electronic publications of the Company, submission of recruitment materials such as curriculum vitae or work experience to the Company, participation in simple questionnaires or tests, signing up for (paid) events such as educational trainings, conferences, and seminars, submission of feedbacks, questions, or comments through the Website.
    In accordance with “The specific purpose and the classification of personal information of the Personal Information Protection Act” the Company collects your personal information for the specific purposes as follows: 040 Marketing, 063 Non-government agency collect or process personal information under legal obligations, 069 Contract, contract-like or other legal relation matters, 090 Consumer, customer management and service, 091 Consumer protection, 098 Business and technical information, 135 Information (communication) services, 136 Information (communication) and database management, 137 Information and communication security and management, 152 Advertisement or commercial behavior administration, 157 Investigation, statistics and research analysis, 181 Other business operation in accordance with the business registration project or organization prospectus, and 182 Other consulting and consultant services.
  2. 2. Types of identification
    In accordance with “The specific purpose and the classification of personal information of the Personal Information Protection Act”, the Company collects the following types of your personal information: Code 001 Individual description (for example: name, home address, work address, home telephone number, postal code, cell phone number, account information, resident and household registration address, etc.), Code 002 Type for identifying finance (for example: the number and name for financial institutions’ account, the number of credit card or VISA card, the number of insurance policy and any other number or account of individual, etc.), Code 011 Individual description (for example: age, date of birth, gender, nationality, etc.), Code 038 Occupation (for example: school principal, elected representatives or other occupations, etc.), Code 039 Licenses or other permissions (for example: driver’s license, vehicle license, etc.), Code 051 Schools record (for example: universities, colleges or other schools, etc.), Code 052 Qualification or technique (for example: qualification for diploma, professional technique, special license, governmental vocational training process, national examination, grades and other training record, etc.), Code 054 Occupation expertise (for example: expert, scholar and adviser, etc.), Code 061 Current status of employment (for example: employer, title in the work place, the description about work, ranking, the date of employment, working hour, the working place, character of industry, the condition and period being offered, the previous liabilities and experiences related to the existing employer, etc.), Code 062 Employment experiences (for example: the date of employment, the way of being employed, employed through intermediary/referral and the period of employment, etc.), Code 063 Leave office (for example: the date of leaving office and it’s reason, notice and condition for leaving office, etc.), Code 064 Working experiences (for example: previous employer and work, etc.), Code 102 Agreement or contract (for example: with regard to dealing, business, law or other contract and agency, etc.), Code 131 Research of paper documents (for example: index or code of paper documents which were not processed by automatic machine, etc.), and Code 132 Data unclassified (for example: mails, files, reports or e-mails unclassified, and any other information which may be used to identify you, both directly and indirectly).
  3. 3. Areas of the use of personal information
    The areas of the use of your personal information includes the locations of the Company’s host(s) for storing the personal information and associated internet server host(s) and the marketing area(s) of the Company’s relevant services. Since the Company is a global company, your personal information may be transferred internationally, and it may also be transmitted to a field of law with a different degree of personal information protection than the field of law in which you originally submitted your personal information. During the transmission of your personal information, the Company shall adopt appropriate measures to protect the safety of your personal information.

    The Company shall process, use, or internationally transfer your personal information during the time period when the above-mentioned purposes for collection of your personal information exists or other time periods permitted by the laws and regulations.
  5. 5. Targets of the use of personal information
    Targets of the use of your personal information are the Company, affiliates of the Company, cooperative partners, relevant outsourcing or cooperative companies of the Company, and government agencies (“Targets”). Unless otherwise provided by laws and regulations or with your prior written consent, the Company shall not disclose or make use of your personal information to any third party other than the of the use of personal information.
  6. 6. Impact of nondisclosure of personal information when you may decide whether to provide your personal information or not
    You are in the position to decide whether to provide your personal information as described hereinabove; however, you may not use the Website or participate in the events or business communications hosted by the Company if you do not agree to provide your personal information. When you provide your personal information to the Company, the Company may send a variety of information or useful information via email or mail.

    The Company shall apply appropriate technical and organizational safety measures to protect the personal information you provided in accordance with the law. The Company shall assign administrator(s) to manage the relevant departments dealing with your personal information. Nonetheless, please note that despite the dedication of the Company in protecting your personal information, the Company cannot guarantee with one hundred per cent certainty that your personal information will not be intercepted or hacked by any third party illegally.

    In the case where there is no violation to the relevant laws, you may email your request to the email address (utwservice@fronteo.com) of the Company, and you may exercise the following rights after the Company confirms that you are the true owner of the personal information: (1) To query, view, supplement or correct your personal information; (2) To request the recipient or type of recipient of personal information that has access to the purposes for which your personal information are to be processed, and the personal information disclosed or to be disclosed; (3) To request the Company to stop collecting, processing or using your personal information; (3) To request the Company to delete your personal information; (4) To request the Company to provide copies of your personal information; or (5) To request the Company to stop sending you relevant information or useful information via email or mail (please indicate how to stop sending relevant information when questing).

Except in the following cases, the Company would not sell, transfer or disclose your personal information to anyone other than Targets defined in point 5 above: (1) When the Company co-organizes or jointly organizes events with a third party, we will share your information with it in order to provide you with the products or services you requested. However, the Company shall, on the webpage of each event, inform you clearly that your personal information would be provided to the third party as the co-organizer because of your participation, and by choosing to participate the event, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to provide your personal information to the third party as the co-organizer for the purpose of the event; (2) The Company would provide your information in accordance with the laws, judicial orders, administrative investigations and requests of other legal procedures. However, in such cases, the information would simply be provided to the investigative unit, and be protected by relevant laws of ROC.; (3) To investigate and prevent the case of illegal activities, frauds, potential threats to personal safety, or violations to any service terms of the Company, or to take appropriate measures regarding the situations mentioned above; (4) In the event of merging or acquisition by other companies, the Company reserves the right to transfer your personal information to the acquiring or surviving company.
  10. 10. You understand and agree that the Company shall collect, process, use, or internationally transfer your personal information in an automated and manual manner in accordance with this Policy and the relevant laws and regulations.
